“Pledge to Help is a social research and development unit operating across India, driven by a team of experienced officers and researchers. As an independent organization, we conduct research to identify obstacles hindering India’s development and explore alternative solutions. Our findings are compiled into reports and submitted to local, state, and central governments, providing data-driven insights to inform policy-making. Additionally, we undertake development work at our level, addressing local problems and fostering place-specific development.
India’s development is impeded by significant social, cultural, political, and economic challenges. These issues are akin to a leaky irrigation pipe, where water (representing resources and potential) escapes through holes (problems), failing to reach its intended destination. This results in wasted energy and time.
Let’s break it down further: social problems are one hole, cultural problems another, and political issues yet another. Economic problems represent the wasted potential, as resources are diverted, slowing down our progress.
To accelerate development, we need to address these challenges collectively. On this platform, let’s join hands to overcome these obstacles and contribute to building a healthy, prosperous, and thriving India. By working together, we can support our government in driving the country towards progress and prosperity.”
About pledge to help
Pledge to Help is a research institute founded by Akshay Kumar on February 12, 2021. Our mission is to drive inclusive growth in India through research and development. We collaborate with experienced consultants nationally and internationally to identify obstacles in social development and inform the government. We also take proactive steps to address these issues.
Why do we need Pledge to Help? Despite 75 years of independence, many Indians remain excluded from social, cultural, political, and economic development. Our country, rich in natural resources and youthful population, faces significant challenges. This raises questions about our policies and systems.
Akshay Kumar, Founder Chairman, has dedicated his life to understanding and addressing India’s problems. Starting research at 13, he has published papers nationally and internationally. His work on air pollution and fuel solutions earned recognition, including the Best Research Paper Award in 2014.
After witnessing the struggles in rural areas, Akshay Kumar committed to creating change. Ten years of research and dedication have led to the establishment of Pledge to Help. We invite you to join us in driving social, cultural, political, and economic development.
